 To support our team’s mission to proactively promote climate protection, we are looking for a

Stakeholder Engagement and Environmental
Manager (w/m/d)


Together with our team you will develop nature-based climate protection projects, focusing on the socioeconomic and environmental impacts in accordance with recognized international practices for engaging project stakeholders.

Your tasks

  • Responsible for the design, implementation and management of social and biodiversity aspects of nature-based climate projects under different standards requirements (Gold Standard for the Global Goals, Verra, Plan Vivo, others).
  • Support the development of project design documents, project implementation, monitoring plans and reports, and carbon certification cycles.
  • Develop the baseline scenario and theory of change for nature based projects (e.g., REDD, AR, biochar, blue carbon) related to climate, social and biodiversity benefits.
  • Develop the analysis of socioeconomic, cultural, and political conditions for carbon projects.
  • Design and develop training materials to communicate AFOLU carbon project and carbon market concepts.
  • Design and conduct stakeholder consultations at project locations including FPIC process according to the standard and communities’ requirements.

Your profile

  • University degree in social science, resource management, forestry, agriculture or related field.
  • At least 3 years professional experience in community engagement for land use and climate change mitigation/adaptation projects.
  • Knowledge on carbon projects development is an advantag.
  • Proven experience of management of different projects in an international team.
  • Ability to create high quality written documents (proposal and deliverables).
  • Fluent in English and Spanish or French, additional languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Professional experience in Latin America, Africa or South-East Asia is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills.
