Your responsibilities
Role Overview:
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality AFOLU carbon projects that contribute to climate mitigation and sustainable land use. Working at the intersection of science, project management, and stakeholder collaboration, you will take ownership of complex projects from early development through to carbon credit issuance - while continuously strengthening quality, integrity, and impact.
Key Responsibilites:
- You manage the development and implementation of AFOLU carbon projects, including afforestation, reforestation, and improved forest management.
- You conduct feasibility studies, baseline assessments, and carbon impact analyses to evaluate project viability.
- You prepare and maintain Project Design Documents (PDDs) in line with Verra VCS, Gold Standard, and/or CAR methodologies, with a primary focus on Verra VCS and Gold Standard.
- You coordinate validation and verification processes with Validation & Verification Bodies (VVBs) and other third-party auditors.
- You manage project timelines, budgets, milestones, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
- You design, implement, and oversee Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems, including carbon accounting and additionality assessments.
- You coordinate with local communities, landowners, government authorities, and project partners to ensure effective stakeholder engagement and compliance.
- You ensure compliance with environmental and social safeguards and support stakeholder consultation and benefit-sharing processes.
- You support the continuous improvement of project quality and carbon credit integrity in line with evolving standards, regulations, and best practices.
