Wentronic ADDRESSING UNAVOIDABLE EMISSIONS BY FINANCING CLIMATE PROJECTS

Wentronic, headquartered in Germany, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of consumer electronics accessories. Committed to sustainability, Wentronic has set an ambitious goal to take responsibility for their emissions and support climate mitigation projects. Their partnership with FORLIANCE is a key step in achieving this goal.

While Wentronic is focused on reducing their carbon footprint, some emissions remain unavoidable. The challenge was to find a sustainable and impactful way to address these residual emissions while continuing to pursue overall emission reductions.

FORLIANCE worked with Wentronic to adress their unavoidable emissions through the CliMates project. This initiative combines a reforestation project in Germany Re-Spire, with an internationally acknowledged peat-forest project in Indonesia. These projects not only capture carbon but also benefit local communities through rural development and environmental preservation.
