FEASIBILITY STUDY: FROM AFFORESTATION TO TIMBER-BASED PRODUCTS IN EGYPT 

We conducted an in-depth feasibility study for a major client, focusing on the development of an integrated value chain for fiberboard production in Egypt. The study, co-funded by DEG, covered every aspect from sourcing raw materials through afforestation of arid areas using pre-treated sewage water to the manufacturing of fiberboards. Our services included market and location analysis, due diligence, economic efficiency evaluation, risk assessment, and investment planning.

The project aimed to establish a sustainable supply chain for fiberboard production, utilizing innovative afforestation techniques in arid regions of Egypt. Our feasibility study included a thorough country analysis, legal and tax considerations, and an evaluation of environmental and social standards. We provided a detailed land use concept, technological requirements, and recommendations for certification procedures, ensuring the project met high sustainability and economic viability standards.
